We have an orphan problem in America. In our country, the most affluent in the world, we have half a million orphans—children living on the streets, in group homes, and in foster care. South Florida is no exception: every day, seven kids in South Florida are removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect.
Slater Lighting is a proud sponsor of several children through the Compassion program. In a world where more than a billion children live on less than $2 per day, Compassion International is a child-advocacy ministry that pairs compassionate people with those who are suffering from poverty. The ministry releases children from spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty. The goal is for each child to become a responsible and fulfilled adult.
Slater Lighting is proud to support Fight the New Drug whose mission is to raise awareness on the harmful effects of pornography through creative mediums. Fight the New Drug exists to provide individuals the opportunity to make an informed decision regarding pornography by raising awareness on its harmful effects using only science, facts, and personal accounts.
Our mission is to strengthen marriages and families. Our vision is simple: Communities will become “divorce-free zones”, where divorces are rarely, if ever, wanted or needed, and where strong marriages are encouraged, nurtured, developed, and maintained. As our dream comes true, more children will grow up in safe, happy, and healthy married families characterized by nurturing parents, permanence and better life outcomes.
